Disaster Preparedness
Southeast Missouri Food Bank is a primary responder when disaster or emergencies occur in the region, whether it be a tornado, earthquake or pandemic. Disasters can create desperate and immediate needs for basic items like food and water.
Food bank staff have completed extensive training in disaster response and stand ready to assist Emergency Management, law enforcement and other first responders. As the situation and needs change, SEMO Food Bank responds accordingly to maintain effective, efficient, and optimal distribution to our network of partner agencies.
The public can support these disaster response efforts through monetary donations that allow the food bank to acquire the most-needed items, donations of goods, or by volunteering.
